I certainly can!

Muscles relaxing & tensions easing.

Most of us call it summertime, but sometimes it feels like a touch of heaven.

Our schedule is winding down; soccer over, taking Valerie to the barn will be more relaxed in the summer because I won't have to stay with her for convenience, and we have no vacations planned.  Somehow not having a vacation this year FEELS like a vacation!  Crazy, huh?

School is out on Thursday afternoon.  We're hosting Kevin's class for a pool party right after school lets out.  We're really looking forward to it.  What a very nice group of people they are.  We're on schedule for having everything ready; Scott, Rick, & Austin are throwing mulch as I type, Scott brought home the tables, chairs, and tent today.  I'll call in a little bit to have the port-a-pot delivered (!!) and the rest is gravy.  Somehow these backyard gatherings don't make me feel stressed.  It's fun!  Besides, having parties motivates us to work on the backyard.  BONUS!

It's been a long two days of work but the pay off is well worth it!  Thank you; Scott, Rick, Austin, Valerie, & Kevin!!  It looks great!

Enough With The Rain!!!

Party for tons of people in eight (8!!!!) days.....stop with the rain already or we'll never be ready!  Must get the flowers in the ground!

I hear that the rain will stop tomorrow (on a work day, of course) and then start back up on Friday.  I would rather Kevin's soccer tournament this weekend be in the rain rather than the parties but, seriously, couldn't we enjoy both in the sunshine?  After all, we are well into May now!

Illness is hanging on but I'm on the functional side of things now.  Have just enough of a cough going on to keep my bladder active.  (Another age related ailment!)  I'm sleeping well and that's a bonus.
