Our Story

  • Watching Them Grow
This blog chronicles our family life from late in 2006 until the end of 2010.
  • Our Journey to Jaden....the beginning.
Our children were the catalysts to this journey. Read how how they knew what Scott and I didn't and how God used Valerie & Kevin to open our hearts to adding another child to our family.
  • Looking At It From Mom's Perspective
    A journal of our life.....from Mom's perspective
  • China Adoption....Our Journey to Jaden
Our family blog....the beginning. This is the story that took us from a family of four to a multi-cultural family of six. Here you'll find the ups and downs of international adoption. The paperwork, the wait and then, finally, God's amazing gift at the end of the rainbow.

Just for comparison: I think you have a very dainty 9 mo old, Traci! My chubby bunny granddaughter weighed 16 pounds at 3 months! She is huge!!! Every time I get on here, I think my heart pauses....you're gonna have that TA soon.....Jaden is beautiful!!

Aunt Shellie

She sounds perfect, just the way God created her for her new family. I just can't wait to see her in person.

Love you all,

Because I'm so dang curious....

"A (female) child who is 2 feet and 2 inches at 9 months of age has a predicted future height of:

152.8 cm , or

5 feet 0.2 inches

Please keep in mind that children under 6 to 18 months of age can naturally move up or down in their percentiles, so this prediction may not be very accurate in this case."

I forgot to mention she somehow managed to get the Maloy head!! :-)

Traci

Wow!!! Thank you for looking that up. I hadn't taken the time to pull out my pediatric books to look up the chart. I never thought to look online. You rock!

"At 9 months:
your child is 16.5 pounds, and that is at the 9th percentile for weight.

your child is 26.25 inches, and that is at the 8th percentile for height.

your child has a head circumference of 17.3 inches, and that is
at the 43th percentile for head circumference."
